Mike Hanlon is a successful entrepreneur and academic. Early in his career, he was the 7th employee at Amazon.com, working there from 1995 to 2001. He has a PhD in Economics, and from 2010 to 2014 he was a Professor of Global Health Economics at the University of Washington. At the UW, he developed strategies to analyze healthcare data, in the fields of statistics, operations research and machine learning. He wants to put his entrepreneurial and academic experience to work building tools to help people reduce their healthcare expenditure.
