Benefits Advising

President, BXLA

“I have been a benefits broker for over 25 years, always as an independent advisor (as opposed to working at a large firm or a carrier), Living in Los Angeles, most of our clients are fully insured and many are using HMO plans which continue to be the dominant delivery system in California. I have built a book of primarily multi-state employers, which allows me the opportunity to explore self funding and various transparency tools, but it is a slow process of transitioning employers from fully insured to self funded plans.

Our firm’s key strengths are in cost management and providing employee advocacy solutions to our clients.

Prior the insurance industry, I worked as an investment analyst (at Prudential) and in consumer goods marketing (at Procter & Gamble). I have an undergrad degree from Ithaca College (in upstate NY) and an MBA from Stanford. I am married and have four children.”
