Damian Myers is counsel in the Corporate group, where he has extensive experience in the design and administration of health and welfare benefit plan design, and regularly advises on compliance with various laws related to these plans, such as ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, the Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, COBRA and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act. Damian also assists clients with the evaluation and selection of medical plan network claims administrators and pharmacy benefit managers and negotiating related administrative services agreements. In addition to advising on legal compliance, Damian works closely with clients to develop innovative methods to control medical and pharmacy benefit costs, including network design options, behavior-based cost sharing designs, participant engagement strategies, customized drug formulary designs, and comprehensive service provider auditing.
